Since I got more than 100 apps installed and I used "Categories" to sort them - after rebooting the iPhone in 2.2.1 it would not start anymore. I just used my own guide right here and couldnt get it to work... thats wat I thought. BUT... it DOES work! If you got lots of applications installed then really really TRY this here and WAIT!! I just did not wait long enough for the iPhone to sort the Springboard preferences again.
