Well, I installed Cydia 2 days ago and had my first iPad restores 
Just a few notes that will be updated in the next few days:
1) Cydia works.
2) Do not install any packages without some confirmation that it will work
These one work so far for me:
- SBSettings (don´t panic – your iPad will look strange after the first restart. Just restart again!)
- OpenSSH (but you loose location services on your iPad WiFi! De-installing and rebooting bring them back to work!)
- RockApp
- MakeItMine
- nano
- Backgrounder
